Thank you for your interest in becoming involved with KBTC as a volunteer.
Financial support isn’t the only way to give to KBTC. Some of our most crucial support comes from service-minded people like you who give of their time and expertise as volunteers.
By volunteering, you help support public television, meet new people, learn new skills, give something back to the community and make a difference.
Being a volunteer at PBS can be a challenging and rewarding position. Whatever your skills, your interests and your schedule, there's an important role for you at one of our many activities and events taking place throughout the year.
Some of the volunteer activities where you can help out and have fun while getting an inside view of KBTC include:
Answer telephones and take pledges when viewers call in their membership support for KBTC.
Extra hands are always needed to support KBTC's daily operations. If you enjoy administrative tasks and are available weekdays during regular office hours, we have a place for you.
When the next special event such as a taping of a live performance rolls around, you could be more than just an attendee--you could help us make it happen! Whether you hand out information, take tickets, or spread the word about KBTC, you will play a crucial role in the event's success.
It is reliability and initiative that is most highly regarded at KBTC. If you are a clear thinking, cool headed and determined kind of person with great ideas, then we'd love to have you as a volunteer. How and when you help is up to you. Our staff considers your interests and time constraints and matches you with an appropriate project.
· All volunteers must first complete a volunteer registration form. This form allows you to tell us more about yourself: skills, interests, time constraints, etc.
· Once our staff receives your form, your name is added to our volunteer list.
· As opportunities arise, we will invite you to participate. You are always free to accept or decline an invitation.
