The Department of Corrections is responsible for more than 16,000 inmates in 15 prisons in the state of Washington, 97 percent of which will return to the community at some point. So, what is happening with them while they are behind bars, and how are we paying for it? We're exploring a unique partnership between the Washington State Department of Corrections and Evergreen State College, known as the Sustainable Prisons Project on this edition of Northwest Now.
