GLOBE TREKKER transports viewers to unforgettable destinations through its stunning photography, rhythmic indigenous music and spirit of adventure. In each episode, one 
vibrant young traveler ventures off-the-beaten path to soak up the local culture, sample the cuisine and revel in breathtaking vistas. In keeping with their aim of "living as the locals do," charismatic hosts Ian Wright, Justine Shapiro, Zay Harding, Megan McCormick and others explore everything from big-city landmarks to exotic sights in remote villages. The Tenth season begins with Megan, Zay, Ian and the rest of our favorite trekkers will head to exciting new destinations, including Antarctica, Barcelona and Turkey. Stateside, there is a brand-new episode set in Texas as well as a stop in the Deep South and a full hour devoted to Best American Hikes.

Around The World — Silk Road: Kashgar to Istanbul (May 22)
Holly Morris takes over the journey in Central Asia, where silk was traded for “flying horses” from the fertile Ferghana Valley. Crossing the Jiptik Pass to Osh, she then explores the ancient Kingdom of Samarkand and Bukhara before crossing the stony desert of Turkmenistan to the lost city of Merv. Then it’s on to the modern capital of Baku in oil-rich Azerbaijan, her last stop before reaching the caravanserais of Turkey and finally the rich bazaars of Istanbul.

Around the World --- East to West: Istanbul to Vienna (June 18)
Ian Wright takes up the journey in Istanbul from where he follows historic trails through the heart of Europe and the Balkans, where once the Ottomans pushed into Europe. Crossing the Black Sea into Bulgaria he explores vampire myths before continuing to Serbia, where the Nis Skull Tower stands as a reminder of Ottoman raids and rule.

Colorado and Utah (June 26)
Holly kicks off her trip in Denver, where she visits the U.S. Mint and enjoys the city’s many outdoor pursuits. Next she hikes the Mesa Trail, joins an archaeological research trip at Crow Canyon and delves into the history of the region’s ancestral Pueblans. Holly travels to Utah, home to numerous ski resorts, the Great Salt Lake and a plethora of breathtaking national parks — including Arches, Zion and Bryce Canyon.
