Public attention often turns to the problem of hunger during the holiday season, but huger knows no season. In this edition of Northwest Now, we're going to learn more about the problem of hunger and whether the effects of the Great Recession are still taking a toll on area food banks. Northwest Now travels to Cowlitz and Lewis counties to hear form local food banks, and gets more information in studio from Northwest Harvest Executive Director Shelley Rotondo, Emergency Food Network Executive Director Helen McGovern and Communities in Schools Tacoma Program Manager Terry LeRud.
