DHARMA RIVER visits the sacred Buddhist temples and mystical sites of Laos, buddhism dharma Thailand and Burma. The Buddha image reverberates thoughout the region, in dozens of temples, caves and shrines, yet it never takes the same form. The film explores the different cultural representations of this universal icon and its contemporary relevance.
