Being Green
The Oregon Spotted Frog, once plentiful in the wetlands of the Pacific Northwest has been placed on the states endangered species lists. In an effort to restore this important part of our ecosystem, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife is working with several partner organizations including Northwest Trek, Woodland Park Zoo, Fort Lewis, and Cedar Creek Corrections Center to breed and release the Oregon Spotted Frog in the hopes of creating a self sustaining population. Full Focus explores the reasons for restoration of the species, the diverse partnerships that have been created, and personal stories that have been shaped by raising and releasing frogs.
