Other Ways to Give
There are a variety of ways to make a charitable gift, many of which provide tax advantages to you. Below are a few recommendations to consider, but please consult with your financial advisors about what giving option is best for you. These gifts should be directed to the KBTC Association, the 501©3 non-profit organization that supports KBTC Public Television. Your financial advisor might ask you for this information:
Legal Name: KBTC Association
EIN: 56-2551392
Mailing Address: PO BOX 11024, Tacoma, WA 98411
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
If you are 70 1/2 or older, you can donate directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to a qualified charity like the KBC Association without it counting as taxable income.
All you need to do is contact your plan administrator to request a QCD be made directly to the KBTC Association using the information listed above. Please ask that your name and address be included as the donor in connection with the gift so we can properly acknowledge your donation.
You can also use Giving Docs - a free, online tool – to initiate a QCD and we’ll be notified automatically.
Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)
The KBTC Association welcomes grants from your Donor Advised Fund (DAF). Recommending a grant is easy and you can often request either a one-time annual grant or set up recurring monthly grants. Please visit your DAF’s website to contact your fund administrator and submit a grant recommendation. You’ll likely need to provide the KBTC Association’s legal information listed above.
If you’d prefer, you can also use Giving Docs - a free, online tool – to recommend a DAF grant.
